ARRIVING RITK KAREOKE FANFEST2001 HOMEPAGE
The DEP tour was split into 4 small tours. With myself (cookie) at the hotel mustering the troops into small groups, and Joolz and Nigel, ferrying everyone backwards and forwards to DEP. You could a liken it too, a military operation. or a kindergarten trip depends which way you look at it.
"Have you all got your cameras?"
"Film?"
"Money?"
"Anyone need the toilet before we go?" (you get the picture)
So on arrival at DEP, we were greeted by wingy and Faith. (have to mention a thanx to FAITH, who having partied with us the night before. Really could of done without getting up at 8am to show us around (OUCH how's your head???)
WE toured the studios. Saw the midi suits, mixing room, recording room. The best part for me was Seeing where the band are rehearsing for the new album, being able to walk amongst there instruments, photograph and touch them was pretty cool. one thing that struck us all was how small the room was. Cant imagine 8 guys crammed into that room 24-7. Still being able to smile and laugh, and record such great riddims.
